Sustaining Systems of Care

Sustainability is defined as the maintenance of systems of care over time, including the infrastructure, services, and philosophy. The ultimate goal of the Child Mental Health Initiative is to put an infrastructure and philosophy (and the corresponding services) in place that can be maintained as federal funds decrease and after federal funding is no longer available. System of care communities develop and update their plan for sustainability throughout the six years of their cooperative agreement.
